Because hope is painful, but the alternative is worse. (And I had to type that blind because of the tears. You really know how to tug at the ol' heartstrings.)

In the idealized version of all this in my head, Ursa's just gently aged a little bit. Unfortunately, that isn't realistic at all.

This has now become part of my headcanon for Ursa.

I don't believe Ursa would murder someone just to rob him. Wow. That's a huge stretch from killing someone to save her son's life.

I hope her destiny was not so harsh, but i liked the rythm it has

This is really beautiful. I love how every little element of it, even the length of sentences is befitting. It's awesome how you went through each thing she lost, step-by-step and things got deeper and deeper as you advanced through. A quick question though: coreect me if I'm wrong but you said that the last thing to go was her self worth but also that it's the last thing she'd let anyone take from her. Sorry, but I'm just a bit confused about it. This is a really short but powerful piece and it's cool that you can contain such emotion and history in a couple of sentences.

Wow. That's all I can say is wow.

I love how much Ursa sacrifices to survive, yet she still holds on to that last piece of dignity.

And Zuko finds her! I wonder how that reunion went.
