This story is okay but I would get a beta. A tip for you:

"Cool, man." "Hey, what's with your hat?" "It's awesome, and the source of my purity and power!"

Should be:

"Cool, man!"

"Hey, what's with your hat?"

"It's awesome, and the source of my purity and power!"

Add in who is talking and how and why they were saying it would make it future referance, each speaker is their own paragraph. Hope this helps.
