This really captures the Hotch character and what makes him so appealing. He's like a vulnerable superhero. Who wouldn't want to fix him, help him, love him? For me, I choose to believe that this is a JJ/Hotch pairing. :)

I absolutely love how the identity of the woman is not revealed as it leaves it open for the readers' interpretation. When I first read the story, (I had to reread this, because it was so mysterious and perfectly charaterized Hotch), I had thought that this could possibly be another Hotch/Seaver fic such as The Hardened Heart, but while reading it the second time, I realized that this woman could fit either Elle. Emily, JJ, or Penelope, of course some could fit more tightly or loosely in the role than others.
