You certainly have a gift, my Dear. There are so many words to describe that brief look at the parting of two connected souls; and a unique pairing at that. I don't think I've ever read an Edward/Alec story before. It's kind of creepy to think of Jane seeing her brother with his lover, but then again, everything about Jane and the Volturi is kind of creepy (in a delicious sense). Heartbreaking, cruel, carnal, primal, fierce, possessive, etc.
