I'd heard of the golden trees/death thing before, but I didn't remember where, and so until you mentioned it in the author's note I assumed it was from Tolkien, haha.
Anyways, this story has really sucked me in, and I wanted to tell you that it's fabulous, and you should feel very very proud of yourself! Cheers!

Approximately 7 years ago I started reading Lord of the Rings fanfiction here on . BloodRed Rose for Legolas was recommended to my by a very close friend of mine who also enjoyed this hobby. After about a year's time, I stopped reading these stories, and never got to finish reading yours.

About 2 months ago, I decided to go hunting for all those stories again, and came across this one. Immediately, by reading the title, my memory was sparked. I had only a vague notion of what this story entailed, but my suspicion was confirmed once I continued to read.

I cannot express how glad I am that I will have the chance to complete my reading of BloodRed Rose for Legolas.

excellent chapter! I think that it is refreshing that this is not a happily-ever-after story because it just makes your story so much more real. People need to be aware of such things especially when they live in a country where it doesn't happen everyday so

I love this story so much. I only found it recently and am happy I did. Most stories you read now aren't as meaningful as this one and I hope that I can one day write something to this extent. The long chapters is an added bonus too ;) I hope you update soon!

I love this fic. It's so different and well written. You've done a great job. I read all the way to whatever chapter you had up before you took them down. I usually liked to read my favorite parts, so when I saw that you took down the chapters I was like D: and then I saw that you were updating and I was like :D and then I noticed it was only up to chapter 14 and I was like D: but then I read your author's notes and you know what I was like? --> 8D Yeah-yuh. I'm so glad that you're revising and making corrections. Not that it was badly written before, no, it just shows me that you plan on finishing.

You're very creative and knowledgeable on the subject of Tolkien and his universe that he created. I thank you for sharing such a wonderful story with everyone. :]

I've been apart of the community for a number of years now and this is the first L.O.T.R. story that I have read. Between story and work I have finally managed to get up to speed with the current revision of this story.

Your story plot and writing ability has set my expectations of this fandom very high. Your talent in characterization and keeping within the context of the original characters is something I wish I could do.

I have never thought, I would review to a story, because I have been too afraid to not find the right word for it. You must know that English is my second language.
I've started to read this story a few days ago and I had to tear myself away from it to go to work or simply sleep. So PLEASE go on rewriting it! I don't know what it was like before, but this version is great.

omg i can't believe you updated! This is crazy!! CRazy crazy. THis is like, my baby. THe first lotr story that I became obsessed with. You have no idea. WOW. Did you delete chapters or make consolidate them or something? Because i swear you use to have a lot more, like over 20.

omgosh! i love this, the final versions of all the chapters are just so incredible! this story breaks my heart over and over! first when the rose first turned read and during her hearing, and now she returned to him! ugh! you're killing me! please continue!
