Man oh man, this less of a review than just a flat out compliment to the author, but this piece of work made my insides tingle just reading it, amazing job.

Thank you for finally giving us a well-written and introspective look into Eugene Sledge's head. This was, truthfully, one of the best pieces I've read in a long while.
