I found this on dA first and was absolutely bawling before I was halfway through it. Then I couldn't keep from re-reading it three times over the next four days.

This is beautiful, and the way you portray their dynamic is just... indescribable. I look forward to many more emotional breakdowns over this story (and possibly others in your fanfiction library).

Very nice story, Claire's true feelings win out over his soliphism. His initial thoughts were especially strong, but Claire and Chane were very touching all through. Your title is very similar to one the endings in the Phantom of Inferno game; Requiem for the Phantom is a very good hitman anime.

...now personally say that canon can go to hell Chane getting the exilier at some point makes sense. And Claire is immortal...because he's Claire. Entertainingly canon doesn't actively clash with this idea either.

However if Claire Stanfield was to die, this would be EXACTLY how it would happen; this fic is so...perfect in it's clarity that I can't see any other result occuring. Well done indeed.

OH MY GOD THIS IS SO SAD! IM STILL CRYING! that line where Claire says he can imagine a world without himself but not without her was where it got me! (and i told myself i wasn't gonna cry and make a fool out of myself in front of my very judgemental cat). does this actually happen? i've read one the first novel and the Drugs and Domino's one. I've been reading them on Baka-Tsuki (or somehthing like that) if you have a better place i would love to know! XD

ANYWAY, enough about my wish to read the novels, this was a great (if not terribly sad) fic. XD Good Job! XD
