This fic is so cute, and so very Kenshin. I love introspectives, especially Kenshin ones, since he is so complex...but you were able to write him really well. I also love the last few sentances, which are cute. ^^ Great work!

I love the open of the manga and you've captured the atmosphere well. The introduction to the two main characters is perfect. She's spunky and clueless and he's, well... complicated. I think that comes across well in your fic.

The beginning is dominated with the word "I" especially considering his habit of avoiding the word in speech. It's a bit prominent but could be easily tweaked. Perhaps something like: "Turning the corner in the misty dawn, my thoughts also turn..." etc. It's a fine fic and written long ago, so no worries if you don't go back just on my say so.

I've really enjoyed several of your stories such as Hokkaido/Prism and Clearing Skies but realized I hadn't reviewed the shorter works.

A slightly different take on Kenshin... but one that is more practical and in my opinion the one that suits him best

I love the way the story opens and closes to atmosphere. How Kaoru is referred to as a girl, and focused on through that.. " A swords*woman*?".. lol. And the scene close.. a perfect ending for this snapshot..

i read this on TFME (before it broke) and i really enjoyed it and it's sequel. i have a small version of my own flaskback to this episode (my fave episode :) and it was inspired by you, i'l try to remember to mention you. pls look at my fics, i'd like someone good to review them.

Okay , enough sentence fragments. This story is very well-written and I really liked how you put it in perspective that Kenshin really is more than an "oro"ing fool. (Which, of course, he *isn't*, but he sure makes himself look that way.)
