Reviews for: Deplorable
Avia Tantella Scott 3/27/11 . chapter 1
I JUST realized that you'd posted this on this site and I would be terribly remiss not to offer a review!

I might be a bit biased, since it was my prompt, but I absolutely adored this story. It was such a phenomenal piece of world-building, and I loved this view of both the origins of the deplorable world and little-girl Jadis. It's so nice to see Charn as a real place, not a crumbling ruin, and your vision of it is gorgeous. I know that you're busy with other projects, but I would selfishly love to see more of Jadis' search for Hekkenet :)

Wonderful, beautiful, amazing job! Thank you so much!

WOW. I absolutely adore stories about Jadis and her life in Charn, and this was an amazing take on the origin of the Deplorable Word. I would love to see a follow-up to this story sometime!

Your take on Jadis is also very interesting. I know she's a child in this story, but in my mind she has always been evil, so the thought of her ever possessing any sort of innocence or good intentions (even as a child) is foreign to me. Reading about her in this story reminds me of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader: how he started off as a good person whose good intentions somehow got twisted. Are you thinking the same for Jadis?

Amazing job, as always! :) Good luck with school and your other fic! :)

I **think** I reviewed this during the exchange, but if not, this is wonderful worldbuilding and you've done a great job with it. It's dark and delicious and so very tragic. Excellent job!

This story was great! I had no idea that the little girl was the White Witch until it was mentioned in the story. I enjoyed reading it.

Excellent job.

That's an amazing story. It's really original, and I liked the way the flashbacks were handled.
