I may or may not have done the happy dance when I got this update (I did). So cute and funny, and I can TOTALLY see Finn strutting around like that, omg. His running internal commentary had me in total stitches.

Okay, ignore the review below this one, because this person a) can't be bothered to sign in and give you a chance to debate the issue and b) seems to think that someone who 'can't cook' also can't LEARN how to cook, which is false. Cooking is a skill just like so many other things, and some people learn faster than others. I think it's false for anyone to assume that Finn's occupation has to 'fit' into what skills he possesses on the show when he's only a junior in high school. A lot of people don't make that decision until college. There's nothing wrong with your story at all, and his is just one opinion that 66 others DON'T share. So keep writing this great fic, and let Finn shine as a chef.

No one has written Finn as a cook yet because HE CAN'T COOK. He said so in the episode "Grilled Cheesus" during Season 2 of Glee. He doesn't have the cook personality, either. No offense, but his occupation doesn't fit his character type at ALL. I'm not saying you should go back and change it, but just make sure this stuff fits in your future stories.

Because Rachel is so easy to place in the future (Showbusiness, of course) I think some of us writers take for granted the thought that needs to go into matching these characters up to our desired storylines. If the characters don't match the storyline, the entire fic takes on a bit of a graft-vs-host disease - the characters cancel the happenings out or vice versa because they don't match and suddenly the story sucks.

You have talent. A lot of talent. Just WATCH OUT for graft-vs-host writing!

Good job, keep it up.

I love it so far! I love these kinds of one shots that just bunch together. And the fact that they aren't in order just make it better in my opinion. I can't wait for the next update!
