I really like this story and the way you've transposed our Spooks characters into roles in the past. Poor long-suffering Harry in India with his obtuse boss. I had to laugh at the way Ruth meekly left Harry's office in this chapter, since she usually barges in and out on the show. Can't wait for the next one!

This is an interesting idea; as someone who likes to mentally place characters in lots of situations, this piqued my curiosity.

The time period and location interests me (repressed RH lust in a hot, dusty and exotic place...what's not to like?), although I admit I'm not entirely well versed about it. I wouldn't have imagined a female secretary in the army in 1857, but I'm supposing that might just be part of the AU set up.

Definitely curious to see how you develop this. Thanks for sharing.
