I just read the entire work you have posted. This is such a good story! I love how you let us in Severus' head and we know all he is thinking and feeling. My heart breaks for him, it truly does.
Considering how long it has been since you last posted to this...is it complete? It could be, but I was just curious. As you left it would explain a lot of why Severus is the way he is.

Don't tell me this is the end. This story is great and so different to all the other storys I have read about Snape as they all seem to concentrate just on the future and rarely mention the past. God I'm useless at reviewing, but keep writing.

Oh, that is so sad! You'd think, after all this time, Severus would realise that he owes Melanie the opportunity to decide for herself.

Oh well, if he had and she went with him, it wouldn't follow the books, would it?

Note (you did ask): apparently JKR said that Snape was born in 1960 and Harry in 1980 and although the Mauraders were in the same year as Snape, they were two years older (Snape got in early)
