The Good Girl 10/11/12 . chapter 23Where do I even start? You are UNIQUE. You're writing is utterly, magnificently, wonderfully unique. I love the realm of Ian & Rose. I cannot wait to read more. I lovelovelove it. There are simply no words! :) Thank you for your writing. |
Ruby-Blade-Princess 9/21/11 . chapter 12LOL, I'm halfway through and I just wanted to drop a note saying how much I love this story...and how weird it is to see my name in here! :D |
HopelesslyInLoveWithDT3 8/22/11 . chapter 23 You know.. I'm reviewing after reading five of your stories in a go; which is a great thing because I never review (bad habit I know); but the reason I'm reviewing is cuz I have a bit of a nitpick with your story. Don't get me wrong, I love it. I think it's BRILLIANT; I'm in love with Ian and Rose together, I've ignored a 3000 word essay that needs to be submitted in seven hours that I haven't even started to read this... but my problem is with your Dr. Owen Harper. If you watch Torchwood, you can see that he's actually a nice guy... hits on tons of girls, yes; and can be a bit of a prick; but he's fundamentally a good kind guy (and my favorite character from Torchwood, other than Toshiko - but that's cuz she reminds me of myself.) BUT THE DR. HARPER IN YOUR STORY IS EVERY SINGLE KIND OF ASSHOLE. And it really gets to me; because I love Owen as a character so much; and the only way I've been able to get this far is by muttering "Parallel universe, parallel Owen" under my breath, but I needed to mention this I think; for all the other Owen-fans out there. (Listening to Owen's Theme as I type this actually. It's literally my favorite song.) I don't expect you to rewrite all of it, of course (I wish.) I just think it would be awesome if you leave a little note about how you've messed with some characters, how they're a bit OOC in this parallel world, because that can easily be explained away without me wanting to shoot my eyes out because someone changed the entire psychological make-up and personality of *MY* Owen. (I can get a little.. territorial over my fictional fancies.) As for the rest of it, I already mentioned that I loved it. I think my favorite was the story before this.. I forgot the name but its the one in which we have Rose trying to find a way to the Doctor, the building of the Dimension cannon. I had Doomsday, the Doctor's Theme and Rose's Theme playing throughout that story, which seems ridiculously appropriate. And I thought it was beautiful. But I feel like punching the screen whenever Dr. Harper makes an appearance - and considering how earlier I used to look for scenes with Owen with them so I could slow down/repeat reading or watching them - I feel a bit frustrated. Props though, cuz its the only thing in the entire series so far to have got me frustrated (I'm very hard to please.) |
Scorp' Blues 7/6/11 . chapter 10"it would give me something to smile about, and make my husband wonder why I had a goofy grin on my face" so then : review ! nice to put the character sally sparow in your fic ! |
Scorp' Blues 7/5/11 . chapter 6nice reference (?) to Alias, it's one of my favourite show ! and the ginger wig, what a great idea lol |
whoville supporter 3/26/11 . chapter 2 lets see if it will let me review... 1st may I say I discovered your writing a month ago while recovering w broken ankle. Since then I've read every word and am hanging on the edge of Charade (thanks for posting to teaspoon btw). I really really love the characters you've created/adapted with these stories and hope for many more adventures as RL allows. :) 2nd, I chose to review on this chapter because your description of Ian's classes "but the entire front row was filled with starry-eyed young ladies, all of whom had their eyes fixed on Dr. Dreamboat," makes me laugh and wonder if Prof. Brian Cox ever has that problem. Though hey, if they keep campaigning to get more young women into science it's a viable motivation. So, carry on and know your work is appreciated! Also, good job getting your kids inDOCtrinted into the good tv show, I've got a dozen elementary students who are fans without ever having seen the show. They play with the action figures everyday before school. Then they go out to recess and play "weeping angel". Kind of red light/green light meets tag you're a stone angel. |
Keiko Reine Frost 2/23/11 . chapter 23Finally I've gotten the chance to seat down and finish reading these last few chapters of this story! It was wonderful, but I admit it wasn't my most favorite in your series. That I think goes to the story about Ian and Rose's honeymoon, with Lupinosa (the title escapes me right now.) E I've already gotten to read Proxy Kiss (loved it) and Even Defenders Ger the Blues (a serene, bittersweet father-daughter scene), and absolutely cannot wait until Charade comes! Is it just me, or does it sound like Ian's going to be looking like the Ninth Doctor? Interesting... Keep writing! -Vendetta |
Naaer 2/22/11 . chapter 23Oh, I have been meaning to catch up with this, and now I find it's finished...ohwell. Loved the character development, particularly Ian. It's nice when an author can really make his duplicate their own, in a cleverly unique kinda way. Sad that it's finished, but very well written and look forward to those that are in the works, especially that Proxy Kiss... |
Sanguine Ink 2/21/11 . chapter 23And it's over. Great story overall. Lots of fluff, but some action too. ) |
Sanguine Ink 2/21/11 . chapter 22Interesting that the Dimension Cannon puts out a trackable signal. Worrying for the characters, but it opens up a lot more possibilities for adventures. ) |
Kelly of the midnight dawn 2/21/11 . chapter 23Horray for SNOGGING! Alright, honestly you wrapped this story up perfectly and boy oh boy I can hardly wait for more. Bye for now, -Kelly |
Kelly of the midnight dawn 2/21/11 . chapter 22Awwwwwwww I'm really gonna miss that little guy *sniffle* I'd love to stay and ramble but the next chapter is calling to me and I can't deny the urge to read it much longer. You'll be getting another review from me soon, -Kelly |
Karm Starkiller 2/21/11 . chapter 23*huggles* Yay for happy endings! And thanks for your lovely reply to my other review; now I'm not worried about what I'll be reading when I follow your stories here. :)And I can't wait to see what adventures Ian and Rose will have in the future. Ian really is a fantastic name for the metacrisis; the more I think about it, the more surprised I am that nobody else seems to use it. Not only is it a form of John, but it's the name of one of the very first companions ever - nice little tie-in to classic Who. I love that sort of thing. :D |
Colormyworld 2/20/11 . chapter 23I really enjoyed this fic! |
WhoMe-2 2/20/11 . chapter 23Bravo! A perfect ending to a magnificent story! I loved every word! Now I'm anxious for your upcoming stories in this wonderful series! |
