Wow. That was amazing.

Really well done, heart felt...I just loved it.

Nice story but you made a mistake in it. When Nuka died, he was chasing Simba not Kovu. Kovu was at the top of the rock looking down as Simba climbed, injured and weak. Zira ordered Kovu to kill Simba, Simba looked at Kovu as if expecting him to do what Scar did. But instead Kovu ran, so Nuka decided to do it himself. Nuka climbed the rocks, and lashed out grabbing Simba's hind leg, then Nuka's foot slipped, the logs he was standing on fell, and he fell with them getting buried. After he died, Zira turned toward Kovu who at some point rejoined them, and smacked him face giving him that scar. So technically, Kovu didn't kill Nuka, it was an accident, even though Zira didn't see it like that. Just thought I'd point that out. If you want to check watch the movie.

That was beautiful. Seriously it was great. Really moving. The only problem is that it is clear in the movie that Nuka didn't run up the logs to get to Kovu, he ran up them to try and kill Simba. But all the same, this was a really good fic :)

Aw! That was touching. And not the corny kind. Yay for non-corniness!

When Zira began her "eulogy", I suddenly heard the beginning of the "King of Pride Rock" score from the first movie being played to it (the music during Scar's eulogy for Mufasa where "with a heavy heart" he assumes the throne).

wow..i loved it. all of what kovu was saying of him was very touching. i almost cried. as for zira, in like first grade, in 1998 when TLK2:SP first came out, i was like afraid of her, this makes me just want to STRANGLE her! ugh! she infuriates me now! she just doesnt get it! seriously though, awesome fic!

I loved the ending. It was so fitting for Nuka. And I liked Vitani looking out for her brother too.

Very touching. I always did feel sad when poor old Nuka died - he was probably my favorite OUtlander lion.
...I think I said that in a another review.
Anyhow. Sad but sweet, and everyone was very in-character, an accomplishment for any fanfic author. Keep writing!

Now the praise. I've read about five fics all the way through in the last two days. I've only found two of them good enough to review. They were both yours. That's impressive.

Your writing reflects a rare ability to get under a character's skin, even a character not of your own creation. This makes for fic that is completely in-character and believable, and thoroughly engrossing. Reading your fic I find it easy to imagine the activity in animated form. A strong mental image like that in the mind of the reader is, imho, one mark of outstanding fic.
