The way Mr. Hinzelmann appeared to be such a kind person while hiding such a heinous secret was one of the things I found to be most disturbing in the book, and it's certainly a powerful thing to explore. Alison was never really given a voice in the book (Shadow eavesdropped on her, or saw her from afar, and then she died), and I like how you've given her one.
