Wow I definity like how you made Kaoru so um...moody hehehe an emotional Kaoru is a violent Koaru lol it would have been hilarious if Kaoru had actually been able to grab ahold of her bokken and used on the 'new' Kenshin:P

I've read this one before too. I love the idea of 'a month of Sundays' as a critical measure. I think my favorite part is how nonchalant Kaoru tries to appear as she is dealing with this apparent doppelganger. I also enjoy how you paint Kenshin as he reflects on what could be going on. You manage to convey a natural ease even as Kaoru is thinking she is either hallucinating of locked up with some weirdo. Cute, funny and imaginative. (And I love Kenshin's pique at being compared to Legolas!)

I loved the honest confusion that Kaoru felt over the whole situation, it was hilarious!

The height change and resulting explanation is my only complaint. Otherwise, you rock the "supernatural in your kitchen, cooking bird ova" genre. (Yeah, maybe not so much competition, but this is a very cute short story, nonetheless.)

The trouble with the explanation is that the footsies and shoulder thing means that other body parts might also be in unexpected places due to a height change plus the confusion spell and... well this couple's not entirely unfamiliar with one another in the carnal sense so... Heh. Maybe I'm just a perv.
