BladesingerLifeweaver 2/4/12 . chapter 1Don't be silly. I really love the way you have made them so serious and beautiful and how you've drawn out their emotions and pleasure so I read lemons, they are always about the physical pleasure. But you've brought out the mental aspect of it. You've shown their love to be like the sea- capricious, demanding, deep, secretive and yet so agonizingly, heart wrenching beautiful.
Whoa. I've become quite the poet. |
CodeLyoko 12/26/11 . chapter 1This was just beautiful! Such a great representation of when America finally decided to join in the fight. |
kitkit11183 11/14/11 . chapter 1I really like your characterization for Canada, especially the parts where UK's rubbing off on him. The letter format in the first half of this fic was a fun read. |
Kai Aquila 10/7/11 . chapter 1This story was great! And not only because of my epic music playlist in the background
You're writing style is awesome, as is your knowledge of the history of england. Couldn't wait to finish this story but dreaded the ending. Doesn't happen so often anymore.
And you're not the only one sniffing books. ;)
Thank you a lot for sharing this piece. |
Sheemjay 6/14/11 . chapter 1I'm so happy i found this story i had just given up on finding a good world war 1 story when i found this. It's wrote beautifuly and i love the way you describe their emotions it's really an over all wonderful story. |
Renkin-chan 5/10/11 . chapter 1This fic? Totally awesome. I really liked the style and you made me ache for Arthur and Alfred. |
Pervy Otaku 5/7/11 . chapter 1Oh, dear, this is just so cute. I just love seeing that side of Alfred, you just make it came out really great in this. Also that Arthur was cute enough to kill some evil zombies... uugh. Too much Black Ops -'

RawrGodzirra 4/19/11 . chapter 1I really enjoyed this-it was both sad and romantic, which is my favorite combination.
And no, you aren't strange... I happen to be a book sniffer also, haha. They have a pleasant scent, at least I think so. |
 TangerineTea 4/2/11 . chapter 1Beautiful. |
Dorisling 2/28/11 . chapter 1I LOVE THIS FANFIC! Omg I love USUK, I love studying about WWI and I love war stories. How can I not like this fic?
Oh and about that sex scene, I think it's perfect :) Those emotions and things...
Sometimes we need something more than passion in our lives XD |
denise134 2/28/11 . chapter 1Don't worry, I too do smell books. And I liked it. It had a point and it made America and England real. |
The Lefty Matt 2/27/11 . chapter 1That was amazingly well-written. I quite enjoyed your sex scene too; instead of just having them do it and barely feel anything aside from the animalistic pleasure, you made it a connection between them more than the smuttiness of other stories do. I loved all the little historical references you threw in, although I'm quite sad to see that you didn't completely portray the horror of the trenches.
Overall, I loved it and I'm glad that this wonderful story is on here. |
xxalexisurgodxx 2/24/11 . chapter 1Are you kidding? Emotionless? You've got to be joking. This is the most emotion in a story I've ever seen someone write, holy crap. I loved the letters in the beginning, and how Canada was still England's, and how Alfred finally found Arthur in the trenches. The sex scene was beautiful, how can you say it was bad? Beautiful, emotional, hot, symbolic (I am one for symbolism also)... and beautiful, again, because saying it once doesn't cover just how beautiful it was. I can picture them in the dirty trenches perfectly, up against the dirt walls. When I pictured Arthur squirming against them... whoa.
A breathtaking oneshot. I truly love when people write about WWI or other events that happened before or after the time of the canon.
Never stop writing, you're amazing. Bravo! |
Mitsuki Horenake 2/22/11 . chapter 1I loved it. Angst, fluff, and lemon pie, all rolled into one :D |
