Great short story! I can easily see Grissom weighing things in his mind like this - very in character. He's the type that seems to consider every possibility before coming to a conclusion (he definitely does this on cases, and I can see him doing this on personal issues as well), and you did an awesome job of showing that. Thanks for posting such an insightful story.
