Hey, I was just finishing your Part 1 story. I love it. I've always been a fan of Rogue and whatever interaction she has with other characters and I started reading this because it included Scott as the other lead. I always wondered if someone would ever take Scott's character in another direction because I love the character but the way he's written, I've always wondered if there was something more beneath that cool facade and those glasses. It was refreshing. I loved that this story mainly focuses on the friendship between these two. I was never a fan of Jean so any Jean bashing is always good. I've been reading stories that focus on Romy so I was glad that there was another relationship that doesn't focus on romance to read about. Good Job on this.

I loved this story but can you please finish the rest.

Hey, This is going to be really short, but don't take that as any sign that I liked it any less. I'm just completely drained after completing the first weekend of my current show. Dang, I hurt all over, even my fingers ache, so I hope you realize the effort I'm putting forth just to give you this short review. So, this final chapter was the perfect ending. It truly was. It had the same sense of closeness through actions that I loved so much about the chapter just before this one. You should be honestly proud of a job well done.

I do have one question. Where was Remy in this? I don't necessarily think he had to have lines or anything, but as he holds a large role in her life, I thought that he could have been mentioned by name and not just lumped in with the others in statements of "all the other X-Men were there." This isn't a complaint, mind you. Mostly, I'm such a fan of Remy and Rogue, that my own selfishness wanted him to grin and hug Rogue and wish her a happy birthday at the very least. But, as I said, this is my own selfishness at wanting to see more Gambit. This chapter (and this story) was about Rogue and Scott's developing friendship, so Gambit's participation was not necessary in this last chapt.

Again, marvelous job! Congrats!

This is too cute. X-Men really needs more "friendship fanfics" like this one; it really shows your talent as a writer to think outside the box.

On another note, however, I don't think you need to point out the sister/brother relationship every time Rogue and Scott show affection for each other. Those who can't tell that's all that's between them doesn't deserve to read this fic. :)

wow...This was such a danged good chapter that I actually signed in to review and that's a major rarity if I'm not signed in already in order to update my own stories. Yes, the last two chapters were wonderful. They were sweet and cute and silly and fun, but this one. This one gets to the central point of this entire story. Through the entire journey of this story you have truly led the reader through Rogue and Scott's own journey into deep friendship. It was such a touching chapter. I completely understand their relationship now. I see them as truly close friends, the closest. It wasn't the confessions they made to each other, either, though those helped set the mood and the theme for their entire relationship and the entire story, but it was their mannerisms. It was their lazy eye contacts with each other. It was their focusing of attention on each other when they each realized the other was speaking of something very intimate of themselves. It was the way Scott pulled Rogue into his lap, not for any kind of sensual reasons, but for the closeness of an understanding and supportive friend, someone he could hold. That spoke volumes about how close they had become, since niether one even had a buried stray thought about her poisonous skin as that action took place. In not mentioning her skin during that instant, I, the reader actually forgot about it, and thus, illustrated perfectly that while in each other's sibling embrace, they neither thought about it as well. What a cherishable gift that is to Rogue, especially since it was not meant as a gift, but done without preamble what so ever. I bow to your excellence in this chapter.

I made the bargain on the 6th and it's the tenth so I've got... omg, 3 days... wow... well, I'm almost done with the second chap update of Callous... and I've got the two planned out for Seether and some of the first one written for Seether... I hope I can finish it. (oh, I got your email, sorry I hadn't responded yet... but I've been writing nearly non-stop the last few days to get these out! heehee... I will respond... eventually... lol).

Can't wait for more on this and "Drowning" (I know, I read it and didn't leave a review... but as you requested so nicely in the email, I will... again, eventually, gotta finish these updates first, gotta deadline to keep... lol).
