I can't believe I haven't commented on this fic. I've enjoyed it, I've been eager to know what situation they will encounter in the next scene and some of the scenes were so dangerous, yay! Also, loved your pretty much in character Snape. I feel a bit disappointed about the ending, but still. I liked the story!

Wow this is.. Different. Dark, passionate: and surprisingly realistic. This is the severus snape described in j.k's books... Gloomy, dark, not some fluffy cuddlebunny. I am impressed. I find it impossible to compliment this fic with words, it is simply mindblowing and I love it. I can only repeat myself: the realism, the mystery.. Snape being.. Snape. Amazing.

This was an incredible story! Your characterization was mesmerizing-I could feel Severus learning more and more about Harry and being impressed with what he was learning. I really enjoy such stories from Harry's POV when Severus is written so well. He has an impenetrability that makes his reactions so compelling.

The first half was interesting. It got tedious just before the ritual, and the rest of it was a hard slog.

This is, undoubtedly, one of the most masterfully written, most canon stories that actually makes a plausible reason for Snape to survive DH...and keeps their characters completely intact and true. I would absolutely adore if there is a sequel, but the ending for this is beautiful, bittersweet, and brilliant all at once. I wouldn't change it for the world.

This is astounding. So beautifully written that I read each sentence over and over again, biting my tongue from the ecstacy of reading, in my intense concentration. Snape and Harry both are exceptionally realised, and the changes wrought in both of their characters, the changes that made possible their union, are both subtle and remarkably plausible. I felt I was reading much more than fic, that I was *learning* from this text. By learning to read and react to Snape with Harry, I felt I was being trained in a kind of hermeneutics. An attitude to life. I have been recently discovering some of your other stories, such as Kestral - also a marvellously conceptualised and realised piece - and am quite in awe of your skill, your understanding of these characters, your imagination. Thank you for sharing this story. I will be returning to it over and over again.

Wow! This story is awesome! I know you are more of a Drarry writter, but you write really good Snarries too. The plot was really interesting and I like the concept of other people having Horcruxes. I liked the twist at the ending but I do wish you will write a sequel/follow-up. Anyways, good job!

This is a pretty epic long oneshot. Are you sure you don't want to split it into several chapters? It makes it easier to pause and come back that way.

Great story! I loved the action and drama. I really enjoyed how the characters interacted with each other, even in the face of uncertain, but mutual desire. The owl as a horcrux was brilliant, full of wisdom, yet grouchy and grumpy like it's owner. He should have known Harry better, hope there is an epilogue. Although a story this good does not need one.
