Lovely. and perfect. Together with her feelings re: the "Wilting Flower" persona (hating the feelings of vunerability) you've really captured quite well the painfulness of this soul-stealing line of work in a way that few other writers here have.
And I love the interaction with China Doll, and S'tine's reaction to that moment of human contact when her hands are held by the other girl (there was a pregnant moment when I thought China Doll might do anything-kiss her, etc; all possibilities were open.)
I'm very fond of Satine and I love work that fleshes her out, rather than making her a flawless matyred heroine. Bravo |
