Wow, this was a huge undertaking. I'm impressed. Very well written, too. I love the things you added that aren't in the game, like the thoughts and extra things the characters say. It's very much how I think about the characters when I play.

Awesome update. I loved it when Banjo was contemplating the talking orange. I always found it wierd how Conga would congratulate you, give you the Jiggy, then go right back to pelting you with oranges.

Oh man, a novelized version of Banjo-Kazooie! And it's a big one! :o Who knew you could write so much about just collecting two Jiggies?

I'm hoping very much that you put a little bit of Mumbo's original backstory in the next chapter You know, in the Banjo-Kazooie instruction manual. I'm a sucker for good backstory.

Okay, see, the reason this adaptation works so well is that you're showing the character's thought processes as they go on the adventure. Banjo's gentle nature shines through everything he thinks, says, and does. Kazooie's snark shows up even when she's not saying anything. Perfectly characterized.

One thing that does bug me is the spells placed on everything. It seems odd that Bottles would know enough about magic to do all the friendly spells. I think when Mumbo shows up, he should reveal that Bottles was exaggerating about doing all the magic, and that he was really behind most of it.

Can't wait for the next chapter!

This is truly amazing! I love how this story goes so far! I can't wait for more!

I know the Gobi's Valley chapter is ages away but I kind of think when you get to Banjo and Kazooie beak busting Gobi's humps, that there should be a good reason Banjo is choosing to do that to Gobi, it worked in the game due to the fact you needed to progress, but I guess if you have to you can make Gobi be a whole lot less sympathetic and give less reason to feel sorry for him, because I don't know how you're going to justify Banjo doing something so mean for no reason or how hes going to be reacting before and after he does it.

Kazooie has an excuse due to her personality but I think it's hard to see Banjo finding a way to justify doing something like that for no good reason, but hey it's your story, you've probably already come up with a way to deal with that so I'll just have to wait and see.

I noticed, on the part of the blue Jinjo, you mentioned of it having an orange belly. Are you sure you aren't talking about the Orange Jinjo? Sorry being a stickler, but I just want to make sure if that's what you meant. ;

Excellent characterizations! I really love both Banjo and Kazooie in your story. Banjo is so good and Kazooie is so, well, Kazooie. She's quiet alot, just like in the game, and she mouths off just when she should.

Banjo's thoughts along his journey are really fun to read. I can really imagine him saying just those things. Just the right amount of fear and bravery make this a really good story.

I wouldn't have thought one world would warrant more than one chapter but you found a way to tell the story that made for interesting reading rather than just relating events. I'm glad you took the time and made the effort to make it truly like a novel.
