I really, really enjoyed this.. you don't have anything to worry about as far as this story goes. :) The descriptions and the detail of emotion are really wonderful, and the situation is realistic to Kendall's character and extremely easy to relate to - I've always found that important. The topic of self-harm is relatively tricky to capture (as far as the emotion behind it) without making the action seem mindless, but I thought that you did that very, very well too - I liked the way that you described it as a 'pressure', because that truly is relevant to the urge that most self-harmers feel. My favorite part was probably the end, not just because the conclusion was lovely, but because of the thoughtfulness and the image that you put behind the color red. That, and this story as a whole, was beautiful. The one thing that I felt left a tiny bit of a gap in the storyline was where Kendall finally went too far - I think that a scene depicting that, and the moment Logan found him, would have had me even MORE hooked on the plot. The only other thing I could really recommend (or request, really, in this case) would be to know a little more about the aftermath - Kendall's recovery, more detail on his family's and James and Carlos's reactions, what struggles he has, and how Logan helps him with those struggles (beside those lively kisses, of course (; ) - but that's just because I think it would be interesting and that you would write it very well, not because its totally necessary.3 All in all, I think that your writing is exceptional, and I'll definitely be looking for more!(:

Very well done. You had intriguing dialogue, intense detail, and kept the story flowing. The angst was well written as well. My favorite part would have to be when Kendall wakes up in the hospital and sees Logan sobbing. That just made my heart reach out to the characters. That's the mark of a good writer if you can make me feel for the characters. Keep writing, and I look forward to more.

Whoa...that was amazing. I really liked the way you ended the story too. How the story sort of flips itself, starting with evil red and ending with sweet, happy red. If I could erase my memory of the story, I would. That way, I could read it again and be mesmerized by it all over again. Seriously, it was that good.
