I'm a poet that loves to write a good Sestina, and I noticed an error in the poem that I just want to point out. In stanza 5 lines 29 and 30 the end words are reversed, it should be 'tunnels' then 'arts'. If you write out the pattern of the last words then you'll see the mistake that I saw. This small mistake makes stanza 6 have the wrong ending words. As you already know that stanza 7 is not affected since it doesn't follow the pattern of the other stanzas.

Other than that it was an enjoyable Sestina to read. I'm addicted to your stories on FFN and AFFN, and I find it hard to point out you error.

Ms. Figg, I bow at your feet! I don't know how you do it sometimes! I see this poem was complicated to write, so I guess you'd have to plan out what words you'd want repeated very carefully. The words you pick really worked well. The good thing I think, is that there are a lot of repeating themes that run through Rowling's work, so that helps to some extent. Tunnels is a good one - both describing the dungeons and below the castle to the lake; the description of his eyes; and below the Whomping Willow, et cetera et cetera. But the pain throughout Snape's life is the worst part, isn't it? No respite for that poor man at all! At least you have the decency to write him some solace through a sex life - Rowling couldn't even do that much! Well, he is loved by us - and especially by YOU - and it shows. Bravissima!
