A very excellent story. I couldn't have done it better myself. In fact, I would like to take this story's structure and make it part of a film. You see, I want to become a filmmaker, and I'm planning to make a film about interconnecting stories during a high school reunion. I can't believe it's been done. A future-fic AND a character-death fic that does not suck. I bow to your superior writing skills. As much as I would have loved to see how Tommy survived life after being the king of high school, this worked. Sad in a subtly achin sort of way, poignant, wistful, regretful, funny-a well-crafted story that was a pleasure to read and a welcome respite from the average Big Wolf story. I look forward to much, much more in the future-

I like BWoC slash well enough, but there's something terribly appealing about the Merton/Lori pairing-and there just isn't enough of it around. However, if the fandom only has a handful of Merton/Lori fics, I'm glad that yours is one of them.

I'm usually iffy when it comes to future fics. It's the canon characters I first loved, and future fics often twist them into something completely different. Your Merton and Lori were certainly grown up, but they still *felt* like themselves. And I certainly agree with you: Merton and Lori banter certainly is fun!

Once I finally get around to updating my rec site again, I plan to add your story. I'll also eagerly be awaiting your next BWoC fic, whatever it may be.

maybe it's because I've always liked Merton. maybe it's because I was Merton to a certain extent. maybe it's because I am Merton to a certain extent. Maybe it's because I'm out of high school and am inching towards that 10year mark faster than I am comfortable with. Whatever the reason, I compeltely empathized with this story, not with the Werewolves or evil baddied, but the humanistic aspects of the show. That's what makes BWoC so great, the human parts, which are more than just the little 30 seconds at the beginning and end of each show. *shrugs* Great story and damn you for reminding me I had emotions.

That was REALLY good. I loved it! it was suppensful, well-written and just plain out great! Keep up the good work!

This was really good, very not the norm for Big Wolf fanfic. Not just because

of the obvious attention to spelling and grammar, but also the tone and

style and the fact that Tommy and Merton aren't lovers. All wonderful! The

John Cusack mention sounded like it should have been the set up for the

standard "what happened - in the MOVIE!" joke. Not sure that would have fit

the scene right, but I was still waiting for & wanting it to happen.

I hope you get the problems worked out with the novella version of this. I'd

be very interested in reading it. If it's anywhere near as good as the short

version, I'd also be interested in archiving it.

Oh my goodness, I almost cried! That was beautifully written, well plotted, pure genius. Also, it seems I was right when I pegged Merton as 'a Stephen King for the 21st century' in 'Homecoming'.
