Not only did I like the story, I agree with you, it's gotten so that there's so many slash fics out there where the guys go for a romp in the hay and that's it(not that I like slash, I just know there's way to much out there) It's nice to see a fic about a MARRIED couple actually making love and not just getting it on(and it was beautifully written if I do say so myself:)

This is a total work of art. Wonderfully, and beautifully written. Bringing out so well the double-edged sword that passion is - a recurring theme in Tolkien - as you show with reference to the Silmarils and Ring. But not only that - it's also a hauntingly touching love-scene, a heart stopping peek inside Elrond's heart and mind. Bravo!

Well if you don't write anything else like this all I can say is it's a damn shame. This is BRILLIANT! This really goes to the depths of Elrond's soul as I understand him. Beyond that, it is a true presentation of the complexities of desire. You have created something that is totally canon and totally original. I am in awe. Stories like this make worthwhile.
