A word of advice? Talk to afrozenheart412 more often.

I love where you are going with this oneshot before/after/during of an write more.

Your "Why do you think I might have a problem with you?" from Danny showed clearly showed that he do not have a problem with her. And I'm glad that they sought out the misunderstanding clearly.

The last part, Danny might as well plaster a "Property of Danny Messer" on her forehead for Don or anyone else who might want to even ask Lindsay for the time of the day. Hehehe!

Ok. I get this is a one shot but come on! Stella asking her to have drinks with her and The Hot Duo *wink wink* already at the pub? That really beckons for an additional chapter, don't you think?

Btw, if you are doing another onehot of an after/before/during, could you touch on the episode of the Suicide Girls (oedipus hex?). The part where she panic when Sid told them that the girls mother was there and she practically begged Danny to talk to her has always been my favourite. The way he asked why (I swoon the way he said it! His eyes, shake of the head, his body movement..Oh-oh rambling. Sorry) and the way he said ok when she explained always gets to me. I'd probably die if he had held her cheek and comforted her.

This is soooo great, I'm not sure if I told you last time, but you really should write more episode based fanfics, doesn't mean I don't love your other stories, but it's just easier for me to imagine... And you're doig such an amazing job!

In my opinion, you should continue this!(:

The ending screams for MORE!

Excellent! Who could resist seeing what Lindsay thought on her first day of work? :D I love how you captured her with running the different outcomes through her head, she is always like that especially when it comes to new situations or something that could hurt her. And the way you have her not taking a break, so that way she won't slow things down. Totally her. I love that Stella was the first one to truly welcome her, as close as she is to Aiden, at least she knew how hard it would be for Lindsay.

Still the best part is where Danny talks to her in the locker room! LOL, that man won't ever quit and I hope he never will. For all of the mouth and attitude on that guy, he does care and wanted to make sure she was welcomed properly. LOL!

The conversation at the end...oh la la! Even if he denies it, you can clearly tell he is interested. Don is the same old Don, with his gossipy ways. Its too bad that Jess didn't come into his life sooner. :D Perfection, my friend!

Like I told you already, I love your season two oneshots, so I’m super happy and excited that you decided to write a series about it. And this oneshot is a wonderful start, I love it so much! :D

No wonder that Lindsay is so tired and exhausted after her first day working in New York. Don’t get me wrong, I know that she is strong and tough, but working in New York is different than working in Montana. Everything is more hectic than Lindsay is used to and the fact that she’s still completely overwhelmed by her new surroundings doesn’t help her either. Of course she was nervous at first, meeting new people is always exciting, but Lindsay also has to work with them, so she really wanted to make a good first impression and didn’t want to disappoint anybody. But as always when you plan something, everything turns out different. Instead of being reputable and serious, Lindsay started to ramble when she met her new boss at the zoo. And that her new, cocky co-worker decided to tease her and told her to call Mac ‘Sir’, something he really doesn’t like, didn’t help Lindsay to calm down at all. But even though it was hard, Lindsay managed her first. She can be proud of herself.

Moving to New York and leaving her home in Montana was a big step for her, but she knew she had to do it. Working in New York is a big chance for her; she just had to take it. For her it’s the perfect opportunity to leave her painful past behind and to move forward. And even though she misses Montana and her family, she would make the decision to move to New York again. And let’s be honest, to be homesick is completely normal, but she’ll get over it. The moment where she becomes friends with her co-workers and finds a nice apartment she will feel home and comfortable and soon she won’t feel so homesick anymore. For Lindsay that sounds easier said than done. She knows that she replaces a member of the team and she’s nervous about it. After all she’s right when she thinks that a replacement is often not welcome. I’m sure though that she will soon realizes that she has no reason to worry. And hey, Stella already gave her some useful tips like not to wear heels at work. LOL. So while Lindsay’s sitting in the locker room thinking about her first day, she doesn’t notice that Danny came into the room as well. Lindsay is clearly confused by him and doesn’t know yet what to think about him. But one thing she knows for sure, she won’t take any of his shit and will comment back. :D. “No, my shift was okay,” she chose to answer. “It's nice here. Stressful as well, but I expected that. New York is a lot bigger than Bozeman. Not that there is no crime in Bozeman.”-“So you liked your first day then?” he asked, opening the locker next to hers. Lindsay wasn't surprised she had gotten the one right next to Danny's; coincidences. He was still smirking, and Lindsay was more than unsure about what he expected to hear. “Yes, it was fine,” she answered. “Why?”-“Why?” Danny raised his eyebrows at her. “I just wanted to know if you had a good first day.”

LOL. Lindsay obviously can’t believe that Danny only wants to know how her day went. I think after their first meeting she wasn’t sure if Danny only wanted to tease her or to tell her that she’s not welcome. Right now everything is new and exciting for her and she’s definitely nervous as well. She fears that her new co-workers won’t accept her since she’s a replacement for Aiden. She knows that Aiden was loved by everyone and was fired only a few weeks ago. But Lindsay isn’t shy and knows that she will feel better once she knows for real what Danny thinks about her. So she directly asks him. “I know you might be unhappy because I'm replacing your colleague,” she started then. Danny looked even more surprised at her words. “What? Wait...what do you want to tell me with that?” Lindsay sighed. She hated such complicated conversations, especially right at the start. “I can understand if you want your old co-worker back,” she told him. “And if you have a problem with me, I understand that as well. But I'd be happy if we could just work together and handle this as good as possible.” If Lindsay had hoped that to Danny everything was clear now, she had been wrong. He kept on staring at her in disbelief for another couple of moments before he shook his head. “Why do you think I might have a problem with you?” he wanted to know. “Um...I don't know,” Lindsay replied, surprised as well now by his reaction. “I mean because...well, because of what you did when I arrived. And because you keep on calling me 'Montana'. I also heard some lab techs talking and saying you and the co-worker I replaced were close.”

I love Danny’s reaction; he has no idea what Lindsay is talking about. I can totally picture Danny standing in front of Lindsay, completely confused. Obviously he didn’t think that his teasing would bug her so much. He only wanted to welcome her in his own special way. LOL. Because in fact he really likes her; she’s tough, strong and smart and can’t wai to get to know her better. And he has no problem with telling her that. “I think you misunderstood something here,” he told her then, for the first time that day in a serious, calm voice. “It wasn't my intention to make you feel like you're not welcome. I mean, you're new and I thought it'd be fun to tease you a bit. That's why I told you to call Mac 'Sir'. And the Montana thing? I think it's cool. I mean, you are from Montana, right? Country girl in the big city. You seriously can't expect me to just call you Lindsay. I had to come up with a nickname for you.” Once again, he offered a smirk, and this time Lindsay knew he meant it. “So Montana it is? Very creative I have to say,” she said sarcastically. His grin widened. “You mean as creative as rushing out of an entrance and tackling down a suspect who's double your size?” Lindsay could feel her cheeks flushing again lightly. It wasn't the first time she had tackled down a suspect; it happened sometimes, and it always had the same effect. Somehow people couldn't get over the fact that a short, slim woman was just as tough as her male colleagues. “Then I think you know now that you shouldn't mess with me,”

Okay Danny’s explanation for why he calls Lindsay Montana is too adorable for words. It doesn’t really make sense, but whatever... Danny definitely likes to flirt with Lindsay that’s for sure and Lindsay enjoys his attention, even though she won’t admit it. It’s wonderful to see that Danny and Lindsay have this special and unique connection right from the start, both of them enjoy their playful banter. Lindsay even starts blushing when Danny comments on her tackling skills, that’s so cute. You can clearly see how amazed and stunned he is by Lindsay, he didn’t expect her to be so tough and quick-witted. He probably though a cute, sweet, little country girl like her would be quiet, shy and insecure. But Lindsay proved him wrong and now, he’s really looking forward to working more with her and to get to know her better. Lindsay is relieved when she realizes that Danny means it when he welcomes her, now she has no doubts left that she can handle living and working in New York. And what’s better than celebrating her first day than going out with Stella? It’s awesome that Stella takes Lindsay under her wings and makes sure she feels home and welcome. Not only does Stella really like her, she’s probably also glad that she isn’t the only girl anymore. LOL.

I can’t tell you how much I love the conversation between Danny and Don; some man talk is always nice. And of course they only have one topic: Lindsay. Don immediately knows that Danny has a thing for their new co-worker. Before he met Lindsay, Danny told Don that he isn’t looking forward to the new addition to the team; he’s still dealing with the fact that Aiden has been fired. But now that he has met Lindsay and had to work with her he suddenly doesn’t think that way anymore. And don knows exactly why Danny is so amazed by Lindsay; she’s simply different from any other woman he has ever met and keeps Danny on his toes. She doesn’t buy any of his shit and knows exactly how to handle guys like Danny. And even though Danny tries to deny it and to play it down, he just can’t fool Don. He knows that Danny is attracted to her and tries to get him to talk. “She seems to be nice,” Danny answered, staring at his own beer instead of looking at his friend. “She's friendly. And funny.”-“And hot,” Don added. A light smirk lit Danny's face, just like Don had expected. “Yeah, hot as well.”-“You interested in her?” Don wanted to know. Danny glared at his friend. “Is that 'question-Danny-day'?” Don grinned. “I guess that means 'yes'.”-“That just means 'stop questioning me',” Danny replied, shaking his head. “Oh, I see. Then you surely don't mind if I give it a try?” Don made another attempt at getting to hear what he knew his friend was thinking. Danny laughed. “You want to give it a try? As if she'd be interested, you clown.”-“Means you are interested.”

Damn right he is! Everybody who saw Danny and Lindsay together knows that there is something special between them. I really love this oneshot; it was an amazing first part of your season two series. I’m excited to see what you’ve planned for your other oneshots, I’m so curious to find out. So keep it up hon!
