I loved this. I also loved the little surprise at the end once we found out that River and Jayne had been doing some kissing. But I do have one question: Why did you refer to Jayne as the "ex-mercenary?" Was it because he's now a full fledged member of the crew/family. I was just a bit confused about that. I hope we'll get to read more of this and see what happens when/if Simon and Mal do find out about River and Jayne.

I'd love to read up on some River torturing Jayne. That would be fun. lol
