This was amazing. Like, I can't think of any other way to describe it. So much better than Touch. It was so in character and so angsty and fluffy and amazing. Arghh.

I'm so glad someone put in a little something about Jason. I do love his character quite a bit. Thought his story was so sad.

Holy frickin' crap this was awesome. I personally was far more reactive to this than with previous Kry-fics. When Starfire told Raven she was going to Gotham I was all 'Kry what are you doing you're gonna get her in so much trouble!" And I squealed so hard when Red X popped up-"Oh my gawd she's finally writing Red X! So excited!" Good banter between the two, and I read their sexual tension with the same guilty pleasure Starfire had in experiencing it. The fight scenes were so great, just fun on top of descriptive, with the added worry of Starfire betraying her identity.
Mostly I've been reading at work on my tablet in between customers, so I was plagued by many interruptions, but the worst was when Starfire happened upon Robin kissing Batgirl because I looked at the clock and realized I was a minute over my lunch break, and I couldn't come back to it for about an hour because we were busy. I was practically hyperventing because even though the idea of Dick being Red X had entered my mind a few chapters back, the whole Dick/Babs romance was more prominent and I was super concerned.
I finished the Red X arc soon enough and the ending more than satisfied me. I was also glad to see more of Dick's playful side. I might have thought it to be OOC except in consideration of his serious portrayal in Teen Titans the show, but from what little I've read of Nightwing in the comics, I could tell that you were reconciling Dick's comic personality with the angsty, control freak we grew to love in the cartoon, and I appreciated that development.
Aftere that, I was nervous because of your "beware angst" warnings, and I procrastinated about as much as I could, reading relevant chapters from Outtakes and Beneath the Mask to the point where it corresponded to where I was at in Masks.
But I trudged on after a couple of days, and sure enough, Jason died at the hands of the Joker in a brilliant, nail-biting restorying of his death. Then things slowed down for me-but how could it not? To do anything else wouldn't be true to the characters, and to just move forward in time would force us to miss critical developments/changes in the characters, so I cherished their grief as well.
Babs's shooting and Dick's near-homicidal rampage stirred things back up in a way that allowed Starfire the perfect chance to express her problems, and I loved that Raven made an appearance to address emotional and physical wounds.
I thought the ending was clever, succinct, and a great way to introduce Nightwing.
Also: Thank you so so so so much for giving Starfire new uniform-the skirt/halter too is great for 16 year-old Star in Jump, not so much for 18 year-old Star in Gotham.

I CAN'T CONTAIN MYSELF THIS WAS TOO GOOD. I HAVE CRIED AND LAUGHED AND GOTTEN FRIGHTENED IN THIS STORY. WHY DON'T YOU JUST OWN THE TEEN TITANS AND MAKE MORE EPISODES AND FULFILL ALL OF MY DREEEAAAAMMMMSS.

Oh my gosh, I am not ashamed to say I read all of this (and Touch) in one sitting. You have all the characters down to a T, and I don't care what anyone says about the sex or the angst, you've done both beautifully. I can't even properly express how much I love this right now, just every single thing that's happened made me sit on the edge of my seat in anticipation. And can I just say how much love I have for you that you included Nightwing, agh! Perfect!

you are right he is a very bad robin ans not a good hood either no talent skills and when the fans killed him off it should have stayed that way make red hood into someone else also what they have done with starfire and roy is so out of character it is stupid

I love Bruce and Dick's father-son relationship. Just shows the Dark Knight can be compassionate sometimes. Amused at Alfred's gentleman senses, about avoiding seeing Starfire naked. Mind, it would've been very pedophilic if he actually hadn't bothered to cover his view 0_0

Holy crap... so Red X/Star was actually Rob/Star. When I finish this story, I will re-read the Red X parts. I highly despise RedX/Star so knowing he was actually Robin, I imagine it's gonna be a lot of fun to re read! :)

No sequel, huh? The muse does as it will. I'm off to Beneath the Mask and Promises.

Also, very well done. You have a real talent for characterization.
