I first read this chapter a few days ago, the 28th, to be exact. I remember because it was my birthday and I remembered thinking, "oh, what a treat!" I've read it several times since then.

Besides being an unintentional birthday present, this chapter was a real treat. I really thought this update would deal with Rhys' trip to seek the approval of the King in marrying his daughter, but boy, have I ever been so happy to be proven wrong. By mostly skipping that scene, the story gained more strength and better pacing. Cutting to Rhys' nervous, pre-wedding jitters was perfect-he really is adorable.

I've always thought that Rhys and Addie would be very open with their love-I mean, why hide it? They are married and are an established loving couple.

The scene between Rhys and Orne was another treat. I love how, if not compassionate, than understanding your characterization of Orne is-he accepts that Rhys has fallen in love, even if he can't comprehend the concept himself.

I can't wait to read what you have cooked up for the next chapter!

So utterly adorable, fantastic and sweet!

This chapter is so well done and my favorite of the fic. Rhys' emotions were so realistic and sincere that I found myself rooting for the couple even more than I already do.

Also, I am loving how well you are filling in the missing details in the plot. Rhys would insist on properly asking the King for Addie's hand- I can't wait to read how that exchange plays out.

While my obvious favorites are Rhys and Addie, I must give a review shout-out to your Milton. His handling of his situation as Rhys and Addie's unofficial go-between is precious. It must not have been easy keeping those two apart.

Wow! This really is an a-mazing story! You are a great writer, and I'll be looking forward to upcoming chapters! I really like the Citadel Scenes. I always wanted to know Rhys point of view:D

I liked the extra dimension you added with Gavin and Rhys. Hahaha poor jealous Rhys. And Addie would be so oblivious she would never comment on it in the book so this addition works in nicely.

I was also impressed with your description of the battle, especially the last few paragraphs between the dragon and Rhys. Very gripping. Well done.

The wedding approaches! How many chapters do we have to look forward to? I'm guessing 2...one for Rhys' recovery in the darkness and one for the wedding Can't wait!

To my chagrin I realized I never review this chapter - eep! So I better get on that...

I did enjoy this chapter - especially Orne's talk with Rhys about the sunset. He summed it up quite nicely and it was nice to see a different side of the usually stuffy teacher. And of course all Rhys' musings on Addie are precious.

My only note was that you mention Rhys' beating heart, which doesn't exist (sorcerer's flame). Not sure what the sorcerer's equivalent of that would be...probably it would just get really really hot like an out of control fire or something, haha. Anyway I think you already realized this error since you mention the sorcerer's flame several times in the next chapter.

Always a treat to see that you've updated!

It's impressive how well you've made this chapter your own when most of the dialogue is provided from the novel. Rhys' thoughts add another dimension to the events that make it all seem more organic.

Rhys' confession was so darn cute! I like how awkward and shy he is about it as well as how easily his emotions turn with the slightest trigger.

Also, a jealous Rhys? Totally adorable.

As for the end action sequence, I like the emphasis placed on it-not too much, not too little. While it is a pivotal scene, it's a lot more the cause of the much more important effects later on.
