Interesting idea. Methos is eternal. I think the lines between truth and lie would definitely blur if you had lived forever.

This is really great! Especially the phrase that says there is no difference between a thousand and forever. For humans, no, there is no difference. For immortals maybe therefore 5.000 are better.

In this story Methos ends up being some sort of Star Trek Q, living forever and ever again, and doing so it ends up he is a god, different from all the others.

I love this, this is exactly how I see Methos. I especially liked the paragraph ended with:

'Five thousand years, my dear.

Sometimes he wonders why no-one calls him out on the lie.'

Don't you just love Methos? I have yet to find anyone that doesn't. I just wish there were more completed fics with Methos/Severus Snape, or Methos cross with SG1 and/or SGA. hint hint. ;-)

Even though I've read a story like this before, I just love this. Methos the eternal. I also love the idea that there was a Los Angeles before the world was destroyed and there will be again each time the universe is reborn. The referrence to the "some say the world will end in fire, some say in ice" poem in that line was great, too.

He is an interesting and fascinating charachter. Very nice.
