Ah poor Satine... thinking that she loved performing the song - I mean, she obviously didn't know what love was before Christian. Little did she know that that night would be the one to change everything. I doubt she could have fathomed what her life would soon become. I felt very sorry for her in this fic, with the kind of life she had to endure. Of course, that all changed with Christian so everything's alright agian. Great work!

Very true to Satine as a character while creating a more "real" picture of being a prostitute, servicing men, etc, which the movie admittedly does rather gloss over.
