Aw...! That was so sweet. I love the analogy of Kenshin being like a puppy! I can definitely imagine that. I've got to admit though, I never expected Kenshin to kiss Kaoru while their friends were just in front of them. It doesn't seem like him.

I really like the contrast between their two POVs, it's just like them.

My roommate was reading your first chapter aloud and it struck me as something so beautiful that I had to put my research aside and give the Kenshin chapter my full attention. After fighting the site, we finally got to read the second with baited breathe. Both chapters were very much so like the characters portrayed in them and were very well written. We must congratulate you on one very SUGOI story! :) "Yea, yea, yea, good job, good job!" is what Usagi-chan keeps chanting over and over again... so I guess I'd better put that in here :).

This is a well written piece of fiction. It's gives new insight to Kenshin's feelings. Nice touch on the Western Books idea, and Kenshin WOULD most likely react the way you portrayed it during their first kiss. Well done on Kenshin! I like Kaoru's view too, but I kinda got off-track at Kaoru's sudden impulse to think Kenshin was her father. The rest of her feelings were good, though. You've done a great job expressing emotions, and I do so adore the way you wrote it from both perspectives. It's uber-sweet! Simple and you ended it perfectly. Keep writing!
