Okay...so beautifully written, so definitely what Castle would be feeling and doing. Definitely Kate would be there for her 'best friend' and yes she will be his undoing.

I still don't ever want to see this happen unless there is a part two. It could be at the altar, it could be the next day, but sooner or later there has to be a part two with them together.

You my friend, are cursed with sitting in a cold, damp room with Justin Bieber's Baby on repeat at the loudest volume you could possibly imagine. And if you like Justin Bieber, whatever band/singer you absolutely detest will take his place.

But anyway, I don't hate you for this. I may feel the need to force you to reconcile this, but I actually like this. There is that chance (though I don't think Marlowe will let it even cross his mind) that they won't end up together. In the real world, you only get so many chances. And they've missed and avoided so many. I know they'll get together in the end, but seeing what could be is somehow nice too. There are so many paths they could take, and love doesn't always prevail. In fact, in your story she's found someone else to love entirely. Heartbreaking in every way, but I like it.
