Your have a bit of an oops in this chapter. It was not possible for Luna to be "alone on Hogsmeade weekend trips the year before" as she was only in second year and not elligible for visits to the village.
Your story seems to be parallelling 'Can't' written by Robst (even if it is with his permission) and occasionally seems to rely on his to fill in some of the blanks in yours the way JKR's canon story fills in blanks in other fanfics. I hope there will be a larger amount of originality as the story move foward.

I am not a fan of Harry/Hermione. I originally started reading this because it was the prequel to a Harry/Fleur story but I have to say this was nicely done. I believe the last few chapters starting from The Duel were the best of the story.

Ok, I can understand war has its casualties, but killing off Hermione was just wrong. A well-written fic overall but I feel I cannot forgive the death of Hermione. I really enjoyed everything up to that point. Good luck, and may you enjoy further success.

i just finished reading all 21 chapters and i can honestly say i have never read a HP story on here that comes close to what you have done. i will continue to read and reread this story as often as i can becuase of the depth and detail you have worked into this story. one thing i can say tho or ask sorry was why did ou decide to have Hermione be at the graveyard as well in al the other storys i have read she was never put in that part of the story?

Robst himself directed me to your work and it was wonderful reading how you changed his story and made it into your own. Do I like that Hermione was killed? OK, I give up - I've read all of Robst's work and converse with him on a frequent and regular basis. This is as original as any fanfiction story.

What was the contention? So Harry gets some help from the goblins and becomes emancipated - that's a plotline/subplotline that's been used in thousands of tales. Why would anyone think that you've stolen his ideas?

I have questions covering the HP series and the majority of fanfics and do not mean to criticize you or this story.

What are familiars for? What do they do? What benefit do they provide? Why do magicals in the HP series even have these sympathetic magical pets other than as a pet? There is training in magical creatures in the HP universe but no training about their familiars.

By the way, what happened to Neville's frog? It seemed to vanish after the first book.

The only fanfics I've read where familiars did anything was either a parody or where an illegal snake familiar joined HP and gave him assistance.

Having the kids learn to use and actually use their familiars would be interesting. I just don't have the skills to do it myself.

I cried. I was in my Astronomy class when Hermoine and Cedric died, and I cried. I can't believe you let them get killed off... Harry was finally happy...

Oh, god. You've just made me cry harder than I have in years. And it takes a lot for me to cry. The tipping point: the streak of brown in Harry's hair. Hermione's hair. And I don't think I've ever wanted to strangle every damn person who hurt Harry as much as I do now.
