This was so beautiful. This quote: "All the darkness in the world cannot drown out the light of one candle." and the whole story behind it made me cry, even though I never ever cry because of a movie, book or fanfiction for that matter. *sobs* So sad and so breathtaking... You are a great author and I'm sure I'll read more of your fics. ;)

That was both heartbreaking and amazingly inspiring. The end, especially, is wrenching - a beautifully crafted piece with a new point of view and an amazing capacity to bring readers to tears. (Me, anyway, and judging from other reviews, I'm not alone.) Your prose is amazing. "All the darkness in the world swept him up in its tides, crashing against the rock shores of his mind...trying to drown himself in the pounding in his ears...just before July fades into August..." The remarkably melancholy feeling pervading the fic is astonishingly conveyed - ah, it was just so beautiful, I'll stop with the long explanatory sentences and just say, I loved it. I always love fics that make me cry - I must admit, many do - but this captured the feeling so wonderfully. Kudos to you; your Harry/Draco is brilliant, not to mention everything else.
