This is like RTN except Sasuke is still Sasuke and not the flamboyant playboy with a rose in hand. Their relationship is definitely miles better than in canon, not as heartbreakingly painful and complicated. But they're both happy and love each other equally despite the difference between their profession (a shinobi and a civilian doctor) so I don't have complaints. Indeed.

Oh, this is absolutely lovely. This is the Sakura of my heart: extraordinary in her ordinariness; patient and resilient and always picking herself up after a fall. I love that you kept her a civilian. And Sasuke: just a little more open; but perhaps much less angry; and always just a little more kinder than the rest of his family. I haven't read this pairing in a long, long time, but I'm very glad I found this.
