Well, I'm not sure how I can describe how much I liked this story. It was amazing. One thing I can tell you, though, is that I read a lot of fanfiction, and I particularly like sad fanfics. I've never cried while reading a fanfic though. Not once.

This made me cry.

Absolutely marvellous. Great humor (not taking jamaican jokes into account) mixed with great drama. The very interesting new viewpoint isn't even interfering with the 'incharacter-ness'. A true tearjerking masterpiece worthy of everyone's favorites-list. I tip my hat to you, good man.

It's probably weird to get a review now, but that story had me sobbing by the end.

I remember reading this story years ago...and now coming back, and reading it again, being Joe's age - it's almost too much. This is one of those rare stories whose impact doesn't decrease, but increases over time...I suppose twenty years from now, I'll read it again, and be just as deeply moved.

So sad... So very sad...

A truly outstanding fic, though. And I could so easily see it happening, which makes it all the sadder...
