I was terribly dissapointed that they ended Ruroni Kenshin with the death of Kenshin. I liked the way that they ended it in the regular series, with everyone living happy-ish ever after.

And Misao is my favorite character, and she should have been in it too!

Yup, I cried. I cried even before i watched it, when someone told me that Kenshin died.

By the way, I only watched it about a week ago for the first time.

I love the characterization of these guys! Saito, running away for a smoke after needling Saito. Saito, catering to his swollen ego. And hitting on Megumi. Kenshin trying to settle it all- and Kaoru coming in and oing it for him (though with a lot less shouting than I thought). Even Aoshi!

But where was Yahiko in all of this? Snuck off to visit his girl?

This is a very original idea ..

Love the fic in tself, and the way the k-gumi are dealing with the fate that sony has set for them..

I personally loved the Reflections.. the art was gorgeous and the entire flow was great .. but the storyline, from the butchering of Jinchuu to the killing of poor Kenshin.. Its been a while since i'v seen it, but i remember, i'd felt a sad and lonely.. like losing a long time friend.

But thinking back.. there are worse ways to die then in ur loves arms. True, that it is sad that Kenji is lost to his father, that he has not lived life, like Watsuki wanted him to.. but atleast he got past his past(losing his memory of it) which was such a source of pain..

Anyway, err back to the review.. lovely work on characterization and their reactions to the fake ending.. lovely bit of sentiment ..

Lol! This is so hilarious, and yet so saddening. I think we all know that even if Kenshin dies in the series, in fanfiction he's immortal! I know I'm rather new, but if you have any free time to read, would you mind giving my story 'Reunion of Hearts' a chance? Granted, it stars a OC, but I really had fun putting it together.

Now I feel bad for hating Seishouhen so much. HOW CAN YOU BE SO ACCEPTING? They butchered the Jinchuu ark (the best arc ever), along with sporadic parts of the rest of the manga, and KILLED KEN-SAN *crawls under a rock and dies*. Besides, Watsuki-sensei did say that he was a fan of happy endings, and Kenshin dying in Kaoru's arms under a bunch of cherry blossoms isn't exactly my idea of a happy ending. I just think it was unfair to torture Kenshin so much after everything he *already* went through. It's just too deppressing. Also, why the heck would Kenshin go to war? He HATES war and didn't even want to go to Kyoto for the Shishio arc! He would *know* that it would TORTURE Kaoru and Kenji, he wouldn't put his family through that. *growls* Well, I still hate Seisouhen with the fiery passion of a thousand burning Shishio's, but this was still a really great fic. And I'm slowly dealing with the problem, and with a lot of perseverance I'll get through it! _

i must confess; eventhough i haven't seen it yet i've only read some spoiler on it.

when i read that kenshin went off wandering again i was a little angry at him. but then with him and kaoru catching the disease i started feeling really down. and then the part when kenshin returned home and kaoru welcoming him with a smile, hug and "welcome home shinta" i started to cry. then when she saw that the cross had faded away and was about to tell kenshin about it, only to see that he had passed away made my heart break into pieces.

i always thought during the tv series that there is nothing to worry since about the headlead never dies, but after reading the spoilers i just kept crying. eventhough i didn't like the ending that much at first, now i think that it was a perfect and beautiful ending for kenshin, kaoru and the final ova.

Great idea. I just got over SDS but the after-effects are still here. I'm glad someone understood.

Hehehe, this is a great idea. I suppose in the heart and minds of most Ruroken fans they can never die.

Personally, I enjoyed Seisohen but I don't consider it an official ending. I wish they'd animate Jinchuu, Cherry Blossoms and Yahiko's Sakabato instead.
