This is more a comment about your AN about Lux rather than this story...but I would mention that both Konoka and Setsuna give indications of swinging both ways. Something could be made of that with Ranma, if one perhaps considered it.

Almost every character in Ranma 1/2 is a horrible person if you take things seriously. Almost every major character has tried to kill him at least once.

Well, will be looking forward to what happens next with what it is that Genma has managed to call down on Ranma and company, along with what it might mean next for all the others involved in this knot. Also agree a lot about the Amazons here, and think that it takes a lot of bending to be able to change things to where they're a viable set up for Ranma.

this seems to be off to a good start. you've really pulled me into the story already, and I can't wait to see where it goes. the whole deal (along with the title) seems sinister and intriguing. I like how you portrayed the characters as more real life than manga-life, more developed and "natural" such as the Tendo girl's reactions to Genma's actions and more understanding of Ranma.

Now we watch to see what happens next wondering all the while what twist would come next for I for one don't really know but can't wait to find out.

About your rant though...Ranma is not real, so everything doesn't have to make sense. A lot of people make the mistake of thinking logically on things that weren't logical to begin with.

I only recently found your stories, and I can say at this point that I'm glad I did! Coherent, lengthy Ranma stories seem to be getting harder to find.

This particular story is starting off very well, and I can't wait to see where it goes. Please keep up the good work.

As far as Shampoo and company go, I find it hard, personally, to pick on them for being bad people, because there weren't any "good" people in the Ranma series to begin with. The entire cast falls firmly either into the Villain camp that Shampoo is part of or otherwise some grey area wherein random acts of morality counteract the inherent selfishness and stupidity.

If you are writing a Ranma fic that isn't a Slapstick Comedy-Romance-Fighting manga, you are already ignoring something ludicrous. Heck, in this very chapter of this very story, which is very good by the way, we have a serious Saotome Genma telling us, the reader, that all he did and said was for Ranma's benefit no matter the cost. Where does the part where he sells infant Ranma for a bowl of rice, some pickles, and two fish fit in there? Was that step one in the grand plan to expand Ranma's ki to levels unheard of for his age? Are we to assume that this Genma, your Genma, never did any of the ludicrous crap he did in the manga unless explicitly stated that he did do so?

To avoid belaboring the point, when characters like Serious Sacrificial Genma, or Actually Likable Akane, or Actually Relevant Ukyo are valid ideas, why should Shampoo, or Kodachi or Taro or Kiima or ANYONE be specially exempt? At least, that's how I see it.

I repeat, bravo on the beginning of a quality story. I have added you to author alert, and I hope to read more of one of your fictions soon.

Well, I definitely agree of Amazon Law, such a bunch of bull. And honestly, when they have been afraid of Saffron for hundreds, if not thousands of years, do they think that they can beat the one who beat him? Seriously?

I am impressed that everyone is in character and that you aren't exaggerating anyone like wangansting ranma or turning AKane into a psycho (which neither of them are.)

Ha! I agree with you on the issue of Joketsuzoku law; it's kinda funny and sad how little people actually take into consideration the ramifications of gaijin illegally living in Japan.

I would like to say, I am extremely grateful for what you have written over the years, and that I look forward to each new chapter/story that you post. Whatever the story, whatever the fandom, you have held yourself to a standard and quality not many authors can or would care to emulate. Granted, you may not care who I am or what I have to say, but having had you on alerts for so long without ever reviewing irks me some - especially considering with how much you have chosen to put on your plate.
