Technically there's no reason to think this is AU- from ths plot of the show we all assume the Chuck is Agent X, or at least he's the first test subject of what would have been Agent X.

But what's to say it wasn't somebody else?

Sigh. I really, really wish this was true. I enjoyed it. Interesting take on the Agent X thing.

This story took my breath away, so succinct, so interwoven with the show's canon, and what an excellent reasoning behind who would be Agent X. "X"cellent, K. [sorry, couldn't pass that up!]

Oh! Oh! Wow, what a twist, K! I'd never considered that angle, but yeah, you're right... wouldn't it be spectacular if this were the storyline they go with?

Oh, the directions this could go! I love the banter you have between Keller and Orion (Sagittarius - LOL!) and the way both men look at the 'expendables/trainees.' This scenario fits so well with the young Alex scene in , just well put-together!
