We know its the second day of competition and what not and that tbe need to hurrily get to the more than anticipated 2nd round is itching but still there's a reason these 32 contestants were chosen (other than the fact that were OC's) over any other trainer in all of the currently known 5 regions so make it be shown in their determination to win and which pokemon you choose to illustrate in these battles have evenly matched pokemon fight against one another cause Lord knows if a Pichu were to ever defeat a lets say Mewtwo the world would riot.

You cant have such weak pokemon like a Pachirisu defeat such built up pokemon like Lucario, Dragonite, Tyrannitar, etc. unless like in the first battle its in a tactical way by using the field to its fullest advantage like Gardevoir who was defeated via electricity near water. So keep that in mind for next time.
