I read this a long time ago and absolutely loved it. For some reason, it occurred to me to look it up again, and I enjoyed it just as much as I did that first time I read it. You did such a wonderful job with the characterization and dialogue. The point of this piece is subtle, but very nicely conveyed.

I just wanted to tell you that this is an amazing character piece! I love Jake and I don't think that most fanfics do him justice, but this is an amazing piece of work! You write very well and I think you have captured his character in a way most people really should look at! Great job!

Very, VERY nice... it's rare to find such an excellent character study on Jake. I thought I was the only one who actually liked the guy. Your attention to detail is wonderful, and I was especially happy to see a piece of writing in present tense that didn't switch tenses constantly. (Yes, tense switching drives me nuts.) Kudos for illustrating what we would all like Sara to do to Dante sometime.

I'd love to read more of your stories. Unfortunately, I'm being booted off the computer now...

this is a great story and well written. i am a jake fan because in many ways he is the greatest mystery. you don't know what's real and what is fiction because he is a character within a character and you captured this well in your story

Nice piece, Irena. I think you really got Jake in this one - and so few people seem to write about him. Are you thinking of expanding this at all, or leaving it as a stand-alone?

I am not a Jake fan by any means...although he can occasionally be funny. I'll give him that much. However, you portrayed a different side of him than the one I am usually familiar with, and I enjoyed reading it very much! I loved all the little comments in there. "Cowabunga, dude." Funnny!
