I'm so glad this fic exists, because that scene left me with a bad taste in my mouth. So many stories seem to minimize the longterm effects of what Jane went through, and I'm really glad yours was this direct. I think my favorite touch was Maura only speaking to the dog when she first arrived, and Jane wanting to cry.

A week's worth of clothes. Oh, Maura. SO LOVELY! And again with the excellent bit about scripted conversations versus non-scripted. And I LOVE that poor Korsak really thought he was helping (that line pissed me off too, even with his clearly good intentions), and that Maura saw the problem instantly. I LOVE that she is able to reassure Jane that the platitudes Korsak was sharing are utterly false. Excellent work.

Very much in love with their mutual devotion. Everyone should have a best friend like these two. Thanks again for sharing!
