I love this! it is so touching and it makes so much more sense because alma does seem very attached to the doll, why didn't you own F.E.A.R? ;P well I'd have to say keep it up! )

This is a terrific story. I've always felt sorry for Alma and this made me think of a different way to feel empathy for her. The backstories to Alma are always interesting but this one is unique, about her DOLL. Loved it. Make more.

YOu really did a wonderful job with this, especially how you made Alma into what she had to have been at one point: a scared little girl in a confusing situation.

Well written story, however I think Alma should call Lucy something other than a soldier. Also, Martin's 'death' might need to be enhanced (well, at least the part about fire on his screen)

splendid, splendid. for someone who has only heard of F.E.A.R, i am duly impressed. and after quick reference to the wiki of this game, i can see it happening.
hmmm...constructive criticism...moar sex? idk, i just liked the feaking story.
though..."her chest trying to crush itself"? shes never felt (or remembers) the feeling of love before, or is really afraid the dolls gonna be taken away?

Dam, I never really thought about Alma's doll or where she got it from but the story fits perfectly. I could completely see Alma finally snapping because 'they' killed someone that she cared for. The tone and the feel I got from both Alma and Lucy where perfect, both having a hate for 'them' and a feeling of confused trust.

If you wanted to, personally I could see a few ways to extend it past a one-shot but sometimes it's better to keep it a one-shot. Leave the rest of the story up to the mind of the reader, if you know what I mean.

All in all, epic little back-story that gives you a new outlook on what Alma really feels etc Now I'm going to go play through Fear 1 and 2 again . . .

Wonderful usage of words in an overall very well-written one-shot. While I haven't played the FEAR games myself, this actually piqued my interest. I feel that what you tried to portray came across without fail. One mind, one thought: Vengeance.
