I too like the background. There's only one minor gripe with this, really, which is to my shame probably the geekiest review you're likely to get: MS run on Minovsky fusion reactors, combining helium-3 and deuterium with ordinary helium as an exhaust product. (Incidentally, the math for this reaction holds up, but we can't get hold of enuogh helium-3 to test it since it makes up less than two parts in a million of all the helium on Earth.) The reaction doesn't produce harmful radiation.

I don't have my 12xR goggles on too tightly. However, Middie had succumbed to the GW condition known as "Main Character Admire-itis". She would fail once she caught sight of the glory that is both Heero and Relena in the same room together... 12x1xR goggles.

Besides that, I like how you incorporate her family in the fic and how it still affects her, even when she is a assassin. I got that warm feeling when Middie hopes for a better future. She was such a broken character that you really want her to put the pieces back together again. You know me, and you know I am not the biggest Middie fan. However, I do hope that she gets more love as a character.
