I really loved your story. The introspection that GLaDOS was going though as that haunting song played for CHell was beautiful.
She had learned suffering through punishment, and mercy through redemption.
That part really got me as I agree with it completely. Thank you so much for writing this.

That is just about the sweetest mother/daughter thing I've ever read! Learning that Chell is GLaDOS's/Caroline's daughter and learning the English lyrics of the turret opera that GLaDOS sings to Chell as she leaves, just made Portal 2 a very impactful and emotional game, and your one-shot captures it very well! I love it!
