Bittersweet, sad, yet somehow it's satisfying. Perhaps it's the closure? I appreciate the order of things - Hawk would of course outlive everyone because... well, because he's Hawk. Other than him, though, I admit that I'm glad to see who was too stubborn to die for the longest. :)

And then I read it again, and was sniffling the whole time.

Hawk would do that. And Tommy would live that long, just because he's got shit to do, and he died once dammit, so the grim reaper can take that scythe and shove it right up his bony ass.

This is sad. But it's a good kind of sad, if that makes any sense.

I teared up. Beautiful story. I was surprised there wasn't a "Yo Joe" at the end but he must've felt that it'd ruin the mood (and he must've served with other people too). The druglord and the ladies part brought a chuckle out with the tears. This is absolutely fantastic.
