MitsukiShiroi 2005-07-16 . chapter 3Wow.. I'm shocked. I truly am. This story has really found a way into my heart. I always thought the death scene of Soi should have more thought about it, and here we are, with a fantastic fan fic about it.
You're talented, and I'm not just saying that. I could actually feel the tears sting in my eyes during her death scene in this fan fiction, and no other fan fiction was ever able to accomplish that ^^!
So, keep up the good work ^^

BelleDayNight 2005-05-17 . chapter 3You wrote this nearly three years ago and I'm just now reading it. You did a marvelously accurate job of showing the various elements of Nakago and Soi's dysfunctional love. They are both creatures to be pitied. Which is why in the FY story I'm trying to write an ending where they can find some happiness together. Of course the only way that will happen is if Suzaku's warriors make it happen. The dragon god was a pretty bad bloak. Great job! |
 BV Reinheart 2005-05-13 . chapter 3Hey!
This was a very interesting story. I wasn't sure what to think when I read the Summary. But as you said in your final notes you weren't sure where it was going at first. I felt that same apprehension at the first two chapters. But that last one took the cake! Fabulous ending! I believe Soi's death was effective to the content of the story, it fit, it wasn't over the top it was just right for this story. Good job on keeping the characters in cannon. They were well preserved Soi kept that hope of being loved by Nakago and Nakago kept the bold strong warrior facede up. It worked, it was good and I loved it good job and you're only 15! GASP! You've got a lot of room to grow. I look at my writting from 15 to now (17) and I'm shocked how much I've grown as a writer! Keep working hard, keep challenging yourself and try National Novel Writting Month in November, (THAT'S A CHALLENGE!)
Good Luck in all your future stories which I am now off to read!

Sweet Ruby Moon 2005-03-10 . chapter 3Beautifully written piece of fiction. It's so dark and angsty that I could nearly feel the atmosphere growing heavier with every line I read. Then again, I don't think a story centered on Nakago/Soi could be any different; their romance was tragic from the start, after all.
This has been a good read. A well thought-out plot, fine writing mechanics and proper grammar/spelling have made this story one of my favorites, not to mention I usually love anything related to Nakago and Soi, even if only remotely.
Keep it up!

Illusions-chan 2004-09-20 . chapter 3Beautiful. Simply beautiful. Frankly, this is the kind of story I've wanting to read. Everyone considers Soi as a slut, a whore, but you showed her as I think Watase Yu really made her to be. She believed in love, and frankly, she is very simliar to Miaka, but because of what's been done to her, people see her in a negative view. But I loved what you did. Frnakly, Soi is also my favorite character, and this, I think, showed off her darker and deeper qualities, as well as Nakago's. She just waited for the lvoe she knew was there, but in the end, he couldn't tell her it. So she took an alternate route to show him, while paying the ultimate price.
Sure this story has made me sad and forced tears out of my eyes, but I loved. Great story. I'm so glad you wrote it! It's definitely a favorite of mine!
Cheers... |
Hydra-Star 2004-06-15 . chapter 3Yet another superb story. It's an interesting idea. My favorite libe is "On the third day he morned." I don't know why. I just like that line.
There is one thing about this. You said that the Vice-shogun's name was Hatsui. Hatsui is one of the Genbu Seishi. He would have died 200 years ago. This is a small thing, but you may want to find a different name for him and go back and change that. While I don't really mind, some Genbu fans (and Genbu does have it's fans, even if there aren't as many as Suzaku and Seiryuu) may get a bit mad or something. Maybe I'm over reacting, after all it's just a name, but oh well.
Anyway, this story is wonderful. I love it. |
Peach 2002-10-30 . chapter 3 Ah, Chaotic Serenity. I have heard your name mentioned before in one of Roku Kyu's stories (Casting Stones). I didn't even realize you had written this until after I had read it, but I must say you've put Nakago in a new light for me. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, as emotional as it was, and I think it was very good. I believe you kept them both in character, although I've read so much fanfiction I almost forget what "In Character" is for them. I'm with you in thinking that maybe there is a heart buried somewhere beneath Nakago's armor, and I also believe that if anyone were to find it, it would be Soi.
Over and Out,

Zettai Reido 2002-06-12 . chapter 3An awesome story. I couldn't believe my eyes when you said you're 15. You're a very powerful writer. While keeping both Nakago and Soi completely in character, you still give a new insight at them. Some scenes of the story - Nakago/Soi conversations, Nakago's mourning - are going to stay with me for a long time. I think it's a perfect Nakago/Soi story, passing the essence of their relations. My only wish is that there was someone who could write a story of such strength about Nakago and Tomo... |
Shunyata Ryuen 2002-06-08 . chapter 3I didn't intend to read this story, but stumbled into it anyway, and ya knowww, I'm glad I did. *nod* There's always a very tangible poetry to your pieces of writing, and this one was no different. Even amidst the darker themes, there was beauty in this, and for that alone, it was worth the read.
...and, I'm still shocked that you're only fiften. ^_~. |
Alcestis 2002-06-07 . chapter 3Brought a tear to my eye...The death scene was pretty well done, I think. Neither too fast as to seem trite or too slow, and portrays the idea of life slipping away, not in an instant, but in the way which is most painful for the person's friend or lover. I especially liked the part about Soi living just long enough to see the dawn. A nice contrast, because dawn is supposed to represent a new beginning, and everything would be alright if a person could just survive until then. *shrugs* For Soi, I suppose dawn would signify the time she would have to depart from Nakago's bed if it were under ordinary circumstances. She's leaving his side at dawn, only this time, she's dying. It is clear that Nakago cares a great deal for her, but right up to the very end, he tries to pretend that he doesn't. What gets me everytime is the way he can't or won't say the words that are in his heart *fumes* (Nakago no Baka!)Truly typical Nakago behaviour! *grins* A very well-written fic overall and I hope to see more Nakago-centric fics from you soon! |
Morrigain 2002-06-07 . chapter 3oh.... that was sooooo sad, but sooo sooo good. I thought everything was written beautifully, even the death scene that you didn't like. I'm putting this on my favorites list, I loved it so much! |
Yumari 2002-05-27 . chapter 2Kirei... It's a VERY beautiful story. I could not control my tears from falling as I read every line of it. And with the portrayal of the main characters done very well, I feel like as if I'm one with them - that I AM them!
... Please continue for it'd be shame if you don't.
Nakago and Soi forever! |
Megitsune 2002-04-07 . chapter 2 So beautiful. It tugs at my heart and makes my eyes water with how sorrowful it is. Your way with words and the characters personalities are so perfect. Please get up the third chapter soon! |
a 2002-04-03 . chapter 2 WAIIIII!!!!! sp sweetr!!!! pleeez continue!!!! i love soi and nakago, they are so perfect together |
Kamiya 2002-04-02 . chapter 2 You are one of my fave authors. I love this. Can someone give me a napkin?....It's just heartbreaking. Is she going to die in the end? That's just so sad. I know it's your story and everything, but.......I can't help but cry. Don't worry about the sexual idea you inserted. I thought it was very fitting, and besides, the situation called for it. Is there a chance you'll change your mind? Can this fic have a happy ending? Just asking. Nakago has gone through so much already. If Soi dies, a part of him will too, and he'll be colder than before. I don't want him to go back to merely existing, not when he has just realized living. Soi too deserves happiness. She has lived an entire lifetime craving for love, for passion. I think it's time they realize that life isn't all about nightmares, pain and cries. They deserve peace. They deserve love. |
