Bravo! Lovely piece of writing - truely!

Just one thing, one or two phrases are a bit repetitive, for example "Elrond walked over to him, and Gandalf turned to him." in that sentance the word 'he' is over used. I do this too... alot infact... but it's really a habbit I'm trying to correct...

Anyway, just trying to offer constructive critism.

Great story! I always wondered how Gandalf felt about leaving... You captured him so perfectly - the undeniably human side, and yet the completely inhuman parts of him as well. I loved every moment of it... sequel? Please? Well, if you decide to write more or not, well done!
